It seems a little harsh, but the more I think about it, the more true it becomes. It seems like telling a white lie would be the nicest thing to do, but would you want to be lied to? And find out later that that nice compliment wasn't true?
Speaking of Paolo Coelho, I want to start reading more books like The Alchemist and philosophical-type stories that make you think about your own life. I'm reading Eat Pray Love right now...but do you all have any other ideas??

This quote is SO true! Sometimes, the truth does hurt... but I know for myself, I would much rather have a friend tell me something that I don't want to (but need to) hear, than lie to me!
